Hi Everyone!
Have you ever voted in an election for which you weren’t crazy about one or more candidates? Well it’s Déjà vu all over again as the JRT asks for YOUR vote starting this February in two categories for which we’ve been nominated for a 2025 WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) award.
Having run for the office of Assistant to the Traveling Secretary in my hometown, I understand how tough politics can be. If I’m for free ice cream and puppies, I get skewered in the press for ignoring the lactose intolerant and hating cats. Regardless I remain committed to providing you, the informed voter, with all tools necessary to rig, er … sway, er… let’s just say Chicago-up this ballot box as the stakes could not be higher: I think there might be a small trophy or free sandwich involved.
- Don’t live in Wisconsin? Not a problem
- Convicted felon barred from voting? That’s the JRT core demographic
- Rigor Mortis setting in? no worries – this is America, baby!
BUT in all seriousness, the WAMI organization does great things for music in our beloved home state, and although I do not know who nominated us, we are indeed truly honored to even be considered. Thus we are devoting our Ally’s Jan 24 (6pm to 8pm) show as an audition in which you can enjoy a fresh listen and decide for yourself whether we have earned your vote, recall or impeachment.

Best Cover Band (wouldn’t it be wild to have a band that covers both Chick Corea AND Guns & Roses make the cut?)
